Erem Profile

Erem, one of the leading manufacturer and supplier of power and hand tools in the United States, founded by Carl E. Weller, an eager American radio repairman who was fed up with sitting and waiting around for the soldering machine to heat up properly. At the end of WWII, Weller got a chance to get his manufacturing company going. In the early 1960s, the company in the US patented Magna stat soldering iron that used a magnetic device to regulate the temperature at the iron’s tip. Today, Erem operates under the banner of Apex tools Group an American supplier of power tools, which was developed as a combined enterprise of Danaher and Cooper industries by merging Cooper and Danaher’s tools and components segment; both shareholders sold Apex to Bain Capital for approximately 1.6 billion USD. The main office of the company is in Sparks, Maryland, and it has more than 20 manufacturing sites worldwide, including Canada, the United States, Germany, Mexico, China, as well as South America, providing high-quality products like cutters, tweeters, pliers, and special purpose tools among others to customers worldwide.
