What are DIN Rails?

DIN Rail has been extensively used as mounting equipment and is typically used for industrial automated devices embedded in PCL racks, equipment, and enclosures. Several types of DIN rail existed, all of them made in accordance with European and international standards, to make sure the matching or compatibility of the automated equipment of the rail is to make sure it is reliable and secure.

Types of DIN Rail

There are four typical varieties of DIN rail, which differ in length and width:

Top Hat (EN 50022): Another name for this rail, which is 35 mm wide, is TS35 rail. Top hat rails with slotted and unslotted variants in 7.5 mm and 15 mm depths are both specified by the EN 50022 standard.

The Miniature Top Hat (EN 50045) is a scaled-down variation of the conventional top hat design, measuring 15 mm in width and 5.5 mm in depth. It is sometimes referred to as the TS15 rail.

A TS-32 rail is also known as a C section. C-section mounting has a cross-section that resembles the letter "C," and the curving rails have a symmetrical appearance. The C20, C30, C40, and C50 are the four most common variations of the C-Section DIN. The number represents the product's height in millimeters.

G Section (EN 50035) - This DIN mounting has an asymmetrical, curved G-shaped cross-section.

Applications for Din Rails

A DIN rail is composed of metal rails that are employed in situations where mounting electrical and industrial devices in racks is possible. They also have some enclosure racks, panels, and control cabinets. In order to prevent galvanic corrosion, a common installation is built of perforated cold-rolled carbon-based steel with a brilliant surface finish.
