It is bigger than the 4-Pin Connector, having a rectangular shape. A 6-pin connector carries DC power along with the data signals. 6-Pin connector could only be found on the peripherals that carry power, such as a desktop computer.
9-pin Connector
9-pin connector is the latest modification to firewire technology, termed firewire 800. The improvement made available permits the transfer of data twice as compared to the original IEEE-1394 standard. It is rectangular with a square corner. 9-pin connector mostly found on apple computers.
