Horizontal Light Guides, 2 Row - Round This family of horizontal light guides, from MENTOR, consist of two rows of light pipes. The round heads are available in 2 mm or 3 mm diameters and are parallel to the printed board on the front panel. This range of light guides is available in single column or multiple column arrays with up to 20 heads. Some of the light guides within this range use a screen to prevent radiation when using a combination of different colours. The rear-mounting method enables the light guide head to be the same size as the hole within the front panel. Standard front panel light guides require a larger head than the mounting hole, which is not fully illuminated by the LED. Therefore the rear-mounted light guides often have a flush and more attractive appearance.
