How to Use Socket Wrenches?

There are a few simple steps that you can follow to use the socket wrench in the right way.

The first thing you need to do is select the correct socket wrench for the right job. There are labels on all sockets, so if you want to turn a nut or bolt, you need to find a socket wrench that corresponds with it in the set. If you do not know the actual size of the socket that is required, you can find the right one by testing many and seeing which one fits.

Always prevent using too much of a large socket to turn the bolt which will only result in stripping off the bolt.

After you find the match, attach the socket to the head of the wrench, and when it is perfectly fitted, you will hear a clicking sound. Then by using the flip switch, you can select the direction and decide upon loosening and tightening.

After that, place the socket on the nut and use it as a regular wrench, besides the fact that you do not have to remove it when you run out of space. Twist it back in the opposite direction and keep repeating until the fastener is either loosened or tightened.
