What is a Disposable Respirator?

A disposable respirator, commonly called “Dust Masks”, is a cup-shaped mask worn over the nose and mouth. These are held in place by elasticated straps running behind the head. The primary purpose of this respirator is to avoid breathing in unwanted, lethal and harmful particles that come within the particular working space that could harm the wearer. 

These respirators are designed to filter out harmful particles and substances, allowing only clean air to be breathed. The type of mask is needed according to the working condition as these masks will only protect at limited levels, while some might protect from various hazards.

Types and Benefits:

Disposable N-95 respirators

• A disposable N-95 is the most common type of disposable mask.
