The robust and nitrile rubber spider with 54 mm from SKF is designed to deliver reliable high-speed torque for use with jaw couplings for securely joining the two shafts. The element features a maximum operating speed of 9,000 rpm and delivers excellent torque up to 19.2 Nm. The jaw coupling element offers reduced or no misalignment and excellent compatibility. The unit remains in place for extended and heavy-use periods with 1° of maximised angular misalignment along with 0.38 mm of parallel misalignment (maximum).
Why Should I Buy Jaw Couplings?
The flexible jaw couplings from SKF provide excellent low-vibration absorption avoiding shock loads by cushioning applications for engineers. The device is easy to install, has a fail-safe design that is maintenance-free, and operates/transmits even after failure. In addition, a jaw coupling is beneficial with almost zero misalignments with high rpm tolerance in various applications.
Why Is the Jaw Coupling’s Misalignment Important?
The exceeding number of misalignments in bespoke couplings results in failures and errors within moving machinery. Selecting the element with the least or no misalignment is crucial to operating effectively within accepted parameters.
