Wow, nice tool to have first time in the field with it. How you use it is up to you! The best thing today was measuring the drop of a pipe from the ceiling 15 feet high. The only downside is where does the wrist strap attach and for very long distances does it have to be on a solid surface to get the best measurements? Very accurate. This is my second. I lost my first. very durable. Dropped it so many tones. I never had problems. Really good quality and long lasting. I did a lot of research before repurchasing to see if there was anything better, but there isn't. The best feature for me is the timer. My hands are shaking so this allows for an accurate measurement.
